Resolved Question: Anyone have any good experiences with apartments in the California South Bay area?

We are looking to move and need a pet friendly, clean place to live that isn't full of loud college kids at night. I'm hoping to find something in the Torrance, Lakewood, San Pedro, Rolling Hills, Possibly even Long Beach area. Problem is every place I seem to find online has really bad reviews. Anyone have any good renting experiences in these areas? Thanks! Our budget is around $1500 to $1700 for a two bedroom. My husband is from the area and told me it is referred to as the south bay area. I just believed him because I see signs all the time saying things like "South Bay Tattoos" and "South Bay Auto" etc. Oh, and Huntington Beach, Redondo Beach, and Rancho Palos Verdes would be great too, although I doubt the last one would fall into our budget range....
